The release of No Man’s Sky Voyagers yesterday introduced a wealth of new content for the space exploration title, but a few key features were lost in the shuffle: the introduction of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for PSVR 2 owners.
The news was confirmed by Martin Griffiths, an engine programmer for No Man’s Sky, who revealed in a post on X that he had been working on and off for more than a year on the feature.

Something that I’ve been working on (on and off!) for more than a year ago, made it into #NoMansSky Voyagers – working closely with Sony to achieve the mind boggling feat of Playstation Spectral Super Resolution applied to eye tracked foveated rendering, in our game!Enjoy 🙂
The official blurb for PSSR integration reads as follows:
Travellers playing PlayStation VR2 can now take advantage of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, improving image clarify, using AI-enhanced resolution, for ultra-high definition and incredible detail.
No Man’s Sky is now available for PS5, PS4, PSVR, PSVR 2, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
