Activision’s debut trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has gotten off to a rather poor start with viewers, with the teaser notching up over 1.4 million ‘Dislikes’ on YouTube.
The trailer has gathered over 285,000 ‘Likes,’ although this pales in comparison to Battlefield 1’s debut teaser, which has pulled in over one million ‘Likes’ set against just over 21,000 ‘Dislikes.’
It’s doubtful this is worrying Activision though, as the studio said just last week that the Call of Duty brand is stronger than it’s ever been. In addition, the publishing powerhouse also noted that Call of Duty: Black Ops III didn’t exactly get a warm reception last year, but went on to sell extremely well.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on November 4, 2016. The game introduces space combat for the first time in the series, with gamers able to pilot space crafts in action-packed battles boasting futuristic weaponry and dazzling visuals.
In addition, the upcoming military first-person shooter will support its own Zombies campaign set in an alternate universe to the main story. It won’t, however, include campaign co-op.
Elsewhere, developer Infinity Ward is also remastering the critically acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for current-generation consoles, which will arrive as part of Infinite Warfare’s Legacy Edition.
Last week, Battlefield developer DICE took aim at Infinite Warfare’s trailer, suggesting it looks like a game from 10 years ago.
