The new medieval fantasy RPG has been announced by publisher Deep Silver and developer, Nine Dots has got a release date. The pair will be working together with Maximum Games on Outward, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 26, 2019.
The developer today released the following trailer with claims that it’s an “entirely new kind of RPG”. They also confirmed, alongside two-player local and online multiplayer, Outward will feature a split screen mode.
Outward can also be played solo as you explore a fantasy world using magic to take on monsters and attempting to survive the harsh game world.
From the press release:
“In it, players will experience an entirely new kind of RPG, where they play the role of a true inhabitant of a sprawling world, requiring biological maintenance and self-preservation against a harsh, uncaring environment. These simulation aspects also extend to the game’s representation of magic as an intricate web of rituals required to evoke supernatural powers.”
