Path of Exile has been available on PC for five years. Now, it is making the jump to PlayStation 4. Path of Exile has officially been unveiled and will be arriving on PlayStation 4 this December. A trailer has been released for the PlayStation 4 version, which can be found below.
The Path of Exile Twitter account game some more detail about the release schedule. The tweet reads:
We are proud to announce that Path of Exile is coming to
@PlayStation 4! As you know, we’re releasing our 3.5.0 expansion on December 7 and we’re planning to launch it on PlayStation in December also. Check out the PlayStation trailer below!
The wording of the tweet is a little vague. It seems like Path of Exile will launch in December with the 3.5.0 expansion, which will be the latest version of the game. This is instead of an older version of the game releasing first and being updated later on.
What is Path of Exile?
Path of Exile is a free-to-play top-down RPG, in a similar vein to Diablo. It has gained a large following on PC over the five years it has been available. The game allows you to mingle with other players in encampments, before going out into the procedurally-generated levels to slay creatures and earn rewards.
The 3.5.0 expansion does not have an official name, nor do we have any details on what is included. However, that announcement is coming on November 13.
Have you played Path of Exile before? If so, are you excited for its launch on PlayStation 4?
