People Can Fly Discontinues Work On Action-Adventure IP Project Dagger

Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly has announced that it has discontinued development on Project Dagger, a new action-adventure IP that has been in the works for a number of years and was due to be published by Take-Two.

The discontinuation of work on the Project is the result of re-analysis of the development plans for projects implemented by the capital group of PCF Group S.A and introducing changes to these plans in connection with the unsatisfactory results of the evaluation of the scope and commercial potential of the Project.

As previously reported, Take-Two’s publishing agreement with People Can Fly for Project Dagger was terminated in September 2022, and at the time it was confirmed that the developer had retained the rights to the IP and planned to shop around for a new distribution partner.

Back in January of this year, People Can Fly suffered a number of layoffs at the studio who were working on Project Gemini, which is set to be published by Square Enix.
