PES 2017 information blowout includes exclusive deal with FC Barcelona

Konami and PES Team have delivered a slew of information on PES 2017 today, including the announcement of a premium partnership with one of world football’s biggest clubs FC Barcelona, home of the frightening attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

The partnership means the club’s stadium, the Nou Camp, is exclusive to PES, meaning it won’t be appearing in FIFA 17. It also provides a host of cross promotional stuff that includes Konami and PES billboards at the real life Camp Nou, and a host of retro Barcelona kits and legendary players for the game. This was all accompanied by the Catalan club-themed trailer below.

There was a look at the 3D models of key Barca players, new screenshots and packshots among the avalanche of information. There’s even a Barcelona shirt-fronted boxart for anyone who is keen on that sort of thing.

Konami also revealed the extent of the reborn edit mode as well. Including some aspects exclusive to PS4. The important notes from that are as follows

Share your create teams and players with other only through easy transfer via USB
Data sharing is multiregional, allowing European users to share with fans from US or Asia

Batch Import Exclusive to PlayStation4 system. Import all your edited kits and player data as a batch on your USB.

Select your team and apply the data you choose.

Adjust how high you want to show the team name and squad number.
With the improvement now allowing to change the resolution of the images you can read more images than the limited amount in the past. (e.g. Change the 2048 x 2048 desolution to 1024 x 1024, and you can add up to 1000 patterns for kits)

So PES 2017 is looking mighty impressive again, our preview from a couple of months ago seems to point towards a much-improved game on the park and off.
