Ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, Sony held a keynote speech with Sony President and Group CEO Andrew House and Division President Masayasu Ito confirming that a PlayStation app will be available shortly for Android and iOS customers.
Using the app, customers will be able to press the “Connect to PS4” button to use their phone as a game controller for the PS4. IT will also be a social hub for the PlayStation Network, allowing users to send and accept invites and chat. Users will also have access to Trophy Information. Twitter and Facebook integration has also been confirmed.
A release date hasn’t been confirmed for the app just yet, but we’d presume it will be ready for PlayStation 4 launch date in November.
