SCE President Andrew House has recently teased “new projects” that will be revealed and announced for the PlayStation Vita.
In an interview with CVG, House was responding to criticisms that Sony didn’t focus on the Vita enough at E3 2012.
"We’ll show [the new projects] when the time is right," House said to CVG.
"You can be assured that, whether it’s first-party or third-party, there’s a good raft of content in the works there,” he said.
“A good raft of content” sounds nice, but where are these games? Why haven’t they been shown at E3? House then explained that even though “killer games are going to be what sells” the Vita, Sony is looking into expanding the audience with apps as well.
"I think at E3 we also showed that there’s a commitment to broadening our network services other than games, whether it’s YouTube or Hulu Plus, which aren’t at the core of the PS Vita’s offering, but provide additional convenience and fun.”
"If we were remiss on not spending enough time on the PS Vita at E3, I’ll take that one under advisement, but you can rest assured it’s not for the want of any sense of overall commitment."
"We know that killer games are going to be what sells this device," he added.
So what are these games that may or may not be in development from first/third parties? There’s no way of knowing (yet), but we can always speculate!
