PlayStation Fans Are Hopeful That Sony Is Teasing A Showcase Event Or Something Big For This December

Earlier today, PlayStation published a new “Play Has No Limits” trailer, which also showcased a price drop for the PS5 from now until December 24th, 2024.

While the price drop was definitely the thing that most people took note of, a lot of PlayStation fans noticed something else – a date, and what they really hope is a tease at a coming PlayStation Showcase, or something of significance.

If you weren’t already aware thanks to the limited edition 30th Anniversary PS5 consoles and accessories, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation platform.

The official day is December 3, 2024, and for a brief second, that date is showcased in the new trailer, and fans are hoping that it’s a subtle tease for more to come on the day.

Even if there isn’t a showcase, there should be no doubt in players minds that Sony has something planned for this coming December 3. But just like everyone still waiting for a Bloodborne Remake, it’s not good to get your hopes up.

Of course, it would be great if a showcase or State Of Play event was announced, and we got some serious announcements about first-party titles. It would definitely be a good day to do it.
