Sony has announced that it will be ceasing PlayStation Home updates in Japan from September.
In addition, the platform holder revealed that PS Home updates to Asian territories will stop in March of next year.
According to Kotaku however, PS Home updates for the U.S. and European market will continue as normal.
Sony’s social networking platform launched in December 2008 with an open beta, and allows users to create custom avatars and dress them up in all kinds of virtual swag. PS Home has notched up 23 million users as of August 2011, and includes a variety of mini-games and public spaces to hang out with other users.
