Invitations to the PlayStation Now beta are going out to lucky invitees now, and information about the beta itself is coming soon.
Thanks to NeoGAF users, we know what the invitations look like and what they say. According to the invite, members of the PlayStation Now private beta community will enjoy "exclusive access to test PlayStation’s game streaming service before its full launch and the opportunity to provide [their] regular feedback to the PlayStation Now team."
Those who click ‘Accept’ in the invitation are prompted to accept a licensing agreement and watch their email "in the coming days for [a] Beta voucher and instructions on how to redeem it."
It’s recommended that participants connect to the Internet with a wired Ethernet connection and maintain a 5 Mbps or higher speed broadband connection.
PlayStation Now debuted at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show and won ‘Best of CES’ awards from publications like The Verge, Engadget, Digital Trends, and TechRadar. The service, expected to launch this summer, will allow gamers to stream a library of PS3 games to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. A host of televisions, smartphones, and other devices will also support PlayStation Now in the months to come.
It’s not unreasonable to think that PlayStation Plus subscribers could get access to a more public beta of PlayStation Now down the line, so if you haven’t received a beta invitation yet, don’t lose all hope to experience a new part of PlayStation history early.
