Sony has officially confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 will release sometime in early 2023, though a more specific release window has yet to be provided.
The news was simply posted to the official social media accounts for PlayStation, with no more word from the platform manufacturer yet.

Regardless, it’s exciting to know that we can look forward to it sometime in the first half of the year. It might not release in January 2023, but now we can surely look to the beginning of the year with anticipation.
With the release window set, that means we can also begin to expect release announcements for upcoming PSVR2 games currently in development. It’s also likely we’ll begin to hear about a lot more VR games that’ll launch if not with the console, sometime soon after.
And with events like Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live just hours away at this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some announcements during that showcase.
