PlayStation Studios head honcho Hermen Hulst recently dropped by the offices of God of War developer Sony Santa Monica Studio, and unsurprisingly, he was pretty impressed by what he saw there, going as far to say it ‘inspired’ him.

Back in April 2021, he told GI.biz that the company is still committed to supporting more experimental titles outside of blockbuster AAA games.
The following year, in wake of Sony revealing it plans to expand more into live service games, the executive assured players that it won’t stop making single-player narrative-based projects. You only have to look at the games that have released in the past year or so to see that is indeed the case.
