Ubisoft’s long-delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake is reportedly finally going to be released in mid-January 2026, according to a report on Insider-Gaming.
Citing ‘sources close to the game,’ the report also states that we are probably going to get another look at the highly anticipated remake during The Game Awards in December 2025, during which the release date will be made official. While an exact date hasn’t been announced by Ubisoft yet, the French publisher has previously confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake will launch by April 2026.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been in development for many years now, and is a collaborative effort between a number of Ubisoft studios including Toronto and Montreal. The former joined on the project in June 2024, although the following month it was announced the company had suffered over 30 job losses.
Ubisoft originally announced its remake of Prince of Persia back in 2020, and was originally scheduled to launch in March 2021 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. However, the project suffered numerous delays, and in 2024 it was reported that the project had been completely overhauled from the ground up.
