Project Morpheus has ‘full games’ in development, E3 reveal possible

Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) boss Shuhei Yoshida has said that we may catch a glimpse at the ‘actual games’ in development for Project Morpheus at E3 in June.

Speaking with GameSpot, Yoshida-san assured gamers that there’s more to the upcoming VR headset than tech demos, but said Sony is waiting for the right time to introduce them.

Many studios of ours are working on actual games,” he said. “We haven’t talked about these games as yet. We are waiting for the right time. Starting probably at E3, we will start to show the actual games.”

The executive said he expects an unknown developer to come up with something totally mind-blowing for the device:

I’m expecting a developer that we don’t even know exists today will come up with something amazing.

What excites me most, from our experience launching many platforms, is that it’s always someone who we do not expect that comes up with totally new ideas and blows anybody’s mind.”

Project Morpheus is due out in the first half of 2016.
