Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the full PS Portal update 2.0.6 patch notes for you to digest, following yesterday’s reports that it improves performance and image quality.
The official PS Portal firmware patch notes are as follows:
- We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
When going through the initial setup on PS Portal, you may be asked to download and install updates consecutively. Please note that this is an intended behavior of PS Portal and it does not indicate a malfunction of the device. (Once you go through the consecutive downloading and installing of the updates, your PS Portal will be able to normally complete later updates with a single set of downloading and installing.)

As previously reported, the latest PS Portal firmware also comes with an exploit fix for the ability to play PSP games offline, which was found by a group of Google engineers earlier this year. That same group brought this exploit to the attention of Sony, and helped them patch the exploit.
