With so many quality titles hitting store shelves of late, it’s surprising to hear that PlayStation Vita owners are getting a little more gaming love before the year ends.
Just Add Water, the studio behind PSN title Gravity Crash and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD, has confirmed that the latter will release for PS Vita on December 18 in North America. The next day, Stranger’s Wrath HD will launch in all European territories under the Sony Computer Entertainment Europe umbrella.
Stranger’s Wrath was well-received by gaming press and consumers alike when it first launched in 2005 for the original Xbox. In the time since, it has been remastered and ported to both PC and PlayStation 3 (the latter of which received the game in December 2011). The action-adventure title breaks away from Oddworld tradition with a greater focus on shooting mechanics, which hinge on the innovative "live ammunition" you find throughout the game.
No word yet on Cross-Save functionality between PS Vita and PS3, but we’ll let you know if we hear more. In the meantime, sound off in the comments and let us know if you’re excited to give Stranger’s Wrath a whirl on PS Vita.
