PS VR launch title Battlezone has 4-player co-op

Battlezone is one of the PlayStation VR launch games releasing on October 13. Its campaign will support up to 4 players via online play.

While Battlezone’s campaign can also be played solo, between 2 and 4 players can connect online and engage in virtual reality combat together. This practice will soon be commonplace, but it’s thrilling to think we’re on the cusp of PlayStation gamers diving into virtual reality and connecting with each other from afar.

Battlezone is all about virtual reality tank warfare in Tron-esque environments with a campaign that’s procedurally generated. It features some interesting gameplay twists, including permadeath and hundreds of tank upgrades and customization options. Rebellion, the UK studio behind Snipe Elite, is handling development.

The recently released “101” trailer breaks down everything you need to know about Battlezone. The title recently went gold, with another gameplay trailer to match.
