Battlezone for PSVR has gone gold, here’s a brand new gameplay trailer

Rebellion has announced that its upcoming PlayStation VR title Battlezone has reached gold status, as well as releasing some brand new gameplay footage for your viewing pleasure.

Check out the new Battlezone gameplay trailer below.

Battlezone is scheduled for release on October 13, 2016 alongside the PS VR headset. The game takes place in a neon-lit, post-apocalyptic earth as players strap themselves into the seat of a high-tech tank and lay waste to foes with an arsenal of powerful weaponry.

The game takes place from a first-person perspective as you lob destructive firepower at your enemies, and includes an action-packed campaign, procedurally generated campaign to blast your way through. Players will unlock powerful gear as they progress through the campaign, which thanks to its nature is never the same with each playthrough.

Fittingly, Battlezone for PS VR is a remake of the original Atari game of the same name, which just so happens to be the first ever VR title created. The physical copy of the game will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) on release date.

PS VR is priced at £349/$399 and Sony hopes to have around 50 games out for the device by the end of the year.
