According to Media Create hardware sales data, the PlayStation 3 led in front of the Wii and Xbox 360 for a third week in a row, selling 23,588 consoles during the week ending May 3.
Last week’s Japanese hardware sales:
PS3 – 23,588
Wii – 21,546
Xbox 360 – 7,313
PSP – 49,557
NDS – 56,673
With the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete still freshly in stores and more PS3 JRPGs recently announced, Sony may have a chance at maintaining this current sales momentum.
