It has been well documented that the PlayStation 3 version of The Orange Box is the weakest of all its incarnations. Many PS3 owners that were looking forward to the value packed game were upset when they discovered the multitude of bugs and bad coding that lead to this inferior version of the game.
Furthermore, the same fans soon voiced their opinions on the official Valve forums and even caught the attention of Valve employee “BurtonJ”, prompting him to respond user criticism of the game.
"I hope that we will be able to correct any major issues in the future," he stated. Indeed, this slightly ambiguous statement has lead many to believe that the firm is planning on releasing a patch to fix the issues currently plaguing the game.
Although Valve is the brains behind the game, users should keep in mind that it isn’t entirely the company’s fault, as the PS3 port was in fact handed over to EA London. However, because it is still Valve’s brainchild, it is most certainly in the developer’s best interests to keep the quality of its most-popular franchise as high as possible.
