Focus Home Entertainment has confirmed that Bound by Flame will be released for PlayStation 4 in early 2014.
The game was previously showcased at Gamescom last week for the first time, where it was announced for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 platforms. However, the game will now also be coming to Sony’s next-generation console alongside these aforementioned formats.
For those unaware, Bound by Flame pits gamers in the role of a mercenary who has been possessed by a flame demon. As a result, the protagonist is faced with a dilemma: regain their humanity or continue to take advantage of the deadly powers offered by this demonic entity.
The game boasts a rich and diverse bestiary, and offers full character customization allowing gamers to tinker with their character – male or female- to their liking. In terms of combat, Bound by Flame lets you craft weapons and armour, with various skills and powers also available to wield through three different skill trees.
Finally, gamers will encounter a number of other characters along their adventure, which depending on your actions can forge friendships, relationships and even rivalries.
Bound by Flame is currently in development at Spiders Studios. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more details as we get them.
