Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled its FY2019 results, recording the second best ever year for the PlayStation brand in the process. The biggest news is that the PS4 has now reached 110.4 million sales worldwide.

In addition, the 2019 financial year drummed up the second biggest revenue for any platform holder in video game history, with 13.6 million PS4s moved during the period. Sony also moved 244.9 million games during FY2019, recording the fourth highest yearly software sales in video game history.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, the PS4 is the only console to have four years with more than 200 million games sold, with lifetime sales for the system surpassing 1.2 billion. Elsewhere, PlayStation Plus subscriptions have hit 41.5 million worldwide.
The PS4 launched back in November 2013 in the US and UK, and arrived in Japan in February 2014. Sony is currently gearing up for the launch of the PS5, which is scheduled to arrive this holiday season.
