Sony Interactive Entertainment America’s Andrew Kelly has announced that another major system software update (version 4.5) for the PlayStation 4 is on the horizon, and that users can sign up for a fresh run of beta tests.

Starting today and remaining open until the start of the beta, users can sign up to help test out the latest PS4 system update. However when the beta starts, Sony will close registrations.
Signing up to be a part of the beta is super simple, so just follow these steps:
- Go here and agree to the terms
- Fill in your PSN name and whether or not you would like to receive beta emails (I would suggest choosing yes since you will be notified via email if you made the cut)
- Done!
If you are successful in being snapped up for the beta, you will receive an email with instructions how to download the system update. Furthermore, if the the system update and your PS4 do not play nicely together so to speak, you will be able to roll back to the current PS4 version anytime.
