The developer behind Among the Sleep has admitted that Sony’s decision to outfit PlayStation 4 with 8GB RAM wasn’t quite the game changer for them as it had been for other video game companies.
While not criticizing PS4’s meaty technical innards, the firm made it clear it “didn’t change” much from a development point of view.
“It didn’t really change that much for us,” Krillbite Studios’ Adrian Tingstad Husby told GamingBolt. “We’ve not really been close to these restrictions on PC either, so for us, porting the game to PS4 is more about making our systems work with the PS4 architecture.”
Elsewhere, Husby confirmed that the studio is targeting the silky-smooth 1080p/60fps benchmark for the PS4 port of Among the Sleep.
“That’s the target! But the PS4 version is still in development, so this is not definite,” he said.
