PS4’s Suspend/Resume feature hasn’t been shelved

Sony has confirmed that it hasn’t shelved the PlayStation 4’s Suspend/Resume functionality originally announced at the console’s unveiling in February 2013.

The feature, which won’t form part of tomorrow’s much anticipated Firmware 2.0, will allow gamers to put the PS4 in a reduced power state and resume their in-game progress where they left off.

While it’s yet to see the light of day, Sony’s Murray Hume told VideoGamer that the feature’s still in the pipeline, saying, "there’s nothing to announce today, we haven’t stopped working on it."

No release date has been announced as of yet.
