PS5 Could Be Getting Apple Music In The Near Future

New evidence has emerged online suggesting that Apple Music could be heading to the PS5 in the near future.

A Reddit user has posted up a photo on the Apple Music subreddit, revealing they were given the option of downloading the app for Apple Music on the PS5. However, when they tried to do so, the following error appear: “This app is only playable on PS4.”

Interestingly, Eurogamer’s Ishraq Subhan attempted to get the prompt on his main UK account, but wasn’t successful. However, upon creating a new account with the region set to US, he was able to get the message — it then disappeared after trying again.

Apple Music coming to PS5 wouldn’t be out of the question, as the service is already available on a number of other devices including Samsung Smart TVs, Google Next, and Android.

The PS5 was released in November 2020 in the US, UK, Europe, and other major regions, and has now sold one million units in the UK, becoming the region’s fastest-selling PlayStation console of all time.
