YouTuber John Glasscock has revealed in a new video that the PS5 DualSense controller allows users to remove and replace the front plate. The process isn’t too difficult either, suggesting it may open the door to custom front plates.
PS5 DualSense Front Plates Can Be Removed
As you can see from the video below, the DualSense also reportedly features the same size thumb sticks as the PS4’s DualShock 4 pad, again hinting that custom parts may be fitted to the DualSense. Sony hasn’t actually come out and announced anything, obviously.
The DualSense controller features a number of enhancements over its predecessor, with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers offering a greater level of immersion for players. The design itself has also been changed somewhat, but still very much belongs to the same family of controllers from past Sony consoles.
Sony will launch the PS5 on November 12 and November 19 in the US and UK, respectively.
