Sony’s Hideaki Nishino has revealed that the PS5 DualSense controller will feature a ‘strong’ battery life, something which should please current owners of the DualShock 4 and ability to run out of juice pretty sharpish.
Furthermore, despite initial panic from some, the DualSense will indeed feature an audio jack so you can plug in your chosen headset.

PS5 DualSense Battery Life Will Be ‘Strong’
Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Nishino-san revealed that the format holder has conducted extensive testing with the DualSense to ensure it appears to a wide ranger of consumers.
We took thoughtful consideration into ways to maintain a strong battery life for DualSense’s rechargeable battery, and to lessen the weight of the controller as much as possible as new features were added. DualSense has been tested by a wide range of gamers with a variety of hand sizes, in order for us to achieve the comfort level we wanted, with great ergonomics.
Our goal with DualSense is to give gamers the feeling of being transported into the game world as soon as they open the box. We want gamers to feel like the controller is an extension of themselves when they’re playing – so much so that they forget that it’s even in their hands.
The DualSense was officially revealed yesterday, with Sony unveiling the pad’s design, which looks very much like an extension of the DualShock 4. It’ll feature haptic feedback triggers as expected, a Touchpad, and a new Create button, which replaces the Share button on the PS4’s controller.
Sony is still targeting a holiday 2020 release for the PS5, and has said that there’s no delays in sight despite the disruption being cause by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The price of the console has still yet to be determined, as it is believed Sony is waiting to see what Microsoft is doing with the Xbox Series X first.
