PS5 Is No.1 For September 2022 Hardware Sales In The UK

According to GamesIndustry.biz‘s Christopher Dring, hardware sales in the UK for September 2022 were up massively for all three platform holders, with the PS5 taking the number one spot.

Dring also revealed that he’s heard ‘similar stories across other markets’ in regards to the performance of gaming hardware. No figures were revealed, but PS5 seems to be picking up the pace thanks to an increase in stock; Xbox Series X also benefit from a surge in available stock, too.

September was a really strong month for console sales. Across the UK, all three consoles saw a jump in sales. There was a big surge in Xbox Series X stock. PS5 holds the No.1 spot. I am hearing similar stories across other markets, too

Just last week, it was revealed that PS5 UK sales had surpassed two million units in the region, becoming the fourth fastest-selling console of all time. This follows on from Sony’s confirmation earlier in the year that its flagship console has shipped 21.7 million units worldwide.
