Sony’s PS5 saw a massive increase in sales during November 2023, accounting for nearly half of all consoles moved during that period.
The PS5 saw an increase of 126% in sales compared to the same period last year, at which point the console was still plagued by stock shortages that lingered from the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Sony’s flagship machine also saw an 149% increase month-on-month.
Meanwhile on the accessory front, the PlayStation Portal was actually the fifth best-selling device and managed to sell out, proving that price isn’t necessarily an obstacle for Sony’s new streaming platform. Speaking of which, be sure to read our PS Portal review here for more details.
The PS5 has been performing strongly this year, and in some European territories it has has been reported that the console is outselling Xbox Series X/S by more than 7 to 1.
