Sony’s announcement of the PS5 Pro has drummed up a lot of criticism for its high price tag, and so it’s perhaps unsurprising that the console’s reveal video is already the format holder’s most disliked hardware announcement on YouTube.
The PS5 Pro announcement video has 3,167,634 views on YouTube at the time of writing, with 94,000 Likes and amassed over 141,000 Dislikes in just a single day. By comparison, the original PS5 reveal has 43 million views and 69,000 Dislikes, while the PS4 Pro pulled in 1.6 million views and 5,6000 Dislikes.

It would be interesting to see how the original PS3 announcement measures up in comparison given the controversy of that console’s price, but the original video isn’t available on Sony’s YouTube channel.
The PS5 Pro is scheduled for release on November 7, 2024, priced at $699.99.£699.99. The console isn’t available with a disc drive, so you have to shell out more money for the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive if you want to play physical games.
Speaking during the console’s reveal, lead architect Mark Cerny revealed that one of the goals with PS5 Pro is to remove the decision consumers have between fidelity and performance modes.
