The PS5 Pro is now available worldwide, but scalpers looking to capitalise on Sony’s high-end console are struggling to turn a profit as the system’s availability is pretty high; a strike contrast to the situation with the original version of the PS5 back in November 2020.
As you may recall, the PS5 quickly sold out at launch and scalpers were quick to take advantage of the situation by reselling Sony’s new console at exorbitant prices. Every time the PS5 was briefly restocked at retailers, scalpers were quick to jump on them and continue the process.
However, PS5 Pro is far more readily available at launch, and scalpers attempting to resell the system are struggling to turn a profit; many listings on eBay have the PS5 Pro priced below its £699.99 RRP.

As previously reported, the PS5 Disc Drive is also being targeted by scalpers, as the PS5 Pro doesn’t come with the ability to play physical media out of the box.
