PS5 Slim Reportedly Set To Receive Another Temporary Price Cut In Europe

Reliable tipster billbil-kun has caught word that the PS5 Slim is going to receive another round of temporary price cuts in European territories, with retailers including Amazon and Mediamarkt in Spain getting in on the action.

The leaker now expects French to introduce a PS5 Slim price cut from March 18, while Germany is expected to lower the console’s price from €549.99 to €479.99 at retailers including GameStop. What’s more, a copy of Alone in the Dark is also said to be offered as part of the deal following its launch on March 20.

The PS5 Slim was released in November last year and is slowly replacing the original launch model of Sony’s flagship gaming console. Looking ahead, the format holder is heavily rumoured to be working on a PS5 Pro, which is supposedly due to arrive in November 2024 and is codenamed Project Trinity.

Sony launched the PS5 in November 2020 and has sold over 50 million units worldwide.
