Circana analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed that the PS5 was the best-selling hardware platform in North America in unit and dollar sales for November 2024.
Sony’s current-generation console saw the release of a more powerful iteration last month in the form of the PS5 Pro, and according to Piscatella, this high-end console accounted for 19% of total PS5 sales during November. Furthermore, dollar sales for the launch month of PS5 Pro were 50% higher than the PS4 Pro’s back in November 2016, although unit sales were 12% lower.

Meanwhile, the Midnight Black version of the PS5 DualSense wireless controller was the best-selling gamepad in dollar sales during the same month and 2024 year-to-date, while the PlayStation Portal ranked as the best-selling accessory in dollar sales.
The PS5 Pro also performed strongly in the UK last month, accounting for 26% for all PS5 sales in the country during the month.
