Geralt of Rivia is a witcher–a monster hunter of legendary strength, agility, and cunning. First appearing in Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of short stories and novels, Geralt has since been adapted to a trilogy of epic role-playing games. The third title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is coming to PlayStation 4 next year and will be Geralt’s first appearance on a PlayStation platform.
The Witcher 3 looks to be a truly ambitious open-world RPG with a lovingly hand-crafted world, deep combat, and a rich, lore-driven narrative. The game stunned us at E3, taking home our E3 2013 Best RPG award. In an exclusive interview with PSU, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has spilled the beans on everything from CD Projekt RED’s relationship with Sony to The Witcher 3 gameplay and being among the first to develop for PS4.
From Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, we’ll be sharing that interview with you in a week of exclusive The Witcher 3 coverage. Each day will see a new story published, but every article link will be posted here as well. So bookmark this page, and get ready to learn why The Witcher 3 could make history as the first big next-gen RPG.
