Sony Interactive Entertainment has released PSVR 2 app update 2.5.0, which brings a number of improvements to stability and performance, as well as a notification of controllers not working properly due to a poor bluetooth connection. As previously reported, Sony is implementing controller-free hand tracking in the PSVR 2, as a demo station at a Tokyo event offered users some hands-on experience with the feature.

We’ve released PlayStation VR2 App version 2.5.0 with the following changes:
- You’ll now be notified if your controllers aren’t working properly due to poor Bluetooth connection while using your VR headset. If you see this notification, visit the support page for information about improving connection quality.
- This notification can be stopped by turning on [Hide Bluetooth Connection Quality Notices] in [PS VR2 Settings].
- We’ve made some performance and stability improvements to the app.
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
