Footage from the Siggraph Asia 2024 computer graphics conference has offered us our first glimpse at PSVR 2‘s controller-free hand tracking ability.
The demo sees the user taking part in a cleaning game, and you perform actions using and gestures as there’s no controller required. The demo station features the following text:
- Tracks the position of the posture of the PS VR user’s hands
- The library is available with the latest SDK of PlayStation 5
- No additional devices required
- Recognises at 60 FPS with low latency and displays the hands smoothly
