Quantic Dream Collection for PS4 release date listed on Amazon

The German branch of Amazon has listed a February 17 release date for the Quantic Dream Collection on PlayStation 4, matching previous reports from Amazon France earlier this year.

It’s worth pointing out that Sony has not yet confirmed a release date for the upcoming bundle, which remasters PS3-era adventure games Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls in high-definition for the format holder’s flagship games console. However, Quantic Dream recently confirmed that it won’t be long before we find out a concrete launch date.

The studio is currently working on its next full-fledged project for the PS4 in the shape of Detroit, which was formally announced during Sony’s Paris Games Week press conference in late October. Prior to that, it had showcased a tech demo known as The Dark Sorcerer. However, Detroit isn’t based on this tech demo, but rather, the 2012 PS3 demo known as Kara.

Heavy Rain was originally released on the PS3 in 2010 and focuses on a series of brutal murders at the hands of the mysterious Origami Killer. The game was later re-released with PlayStation Move compatibility. Beyond: Two Souls meanwhile hit PS3 in October 2013 and features an all-star cast in Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, and takes gamers on an action-packed journey through Jodie Holmes’ (Page) life with a supernatural twist on the traditional Quantic Dream formula. Heavy Rain would go on to sell three million copies worldwide to date on PS3, with Beyond: Two Souls also proving a commercial success, selling over two million units to date.
