Andrew Witts, the former gameplay designer on Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege, has revealed on Twitter that he’s now signed up with Bungie‘s Marathon team and has completed his first week at the company.
I’m excited to share that I’ve completed my first week @Bungie! I will be joining @MarathonTheGame as Gameplay Design Director. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind. I am thrilled to work with this brilliant and incredibly talented team.
Marathon was announced during the PlayStation Showcase back in May, and is a revival of the classic 90s shooter franchise that Bungie worked on long before it introduced us to Master Chief.
Bungie announced that Marathon will include full Cross-Play and Cross-Save functionality for PC and PS5 versions of the game, and marks the former Halo developer’s first new project in over a decade.
