RE5 Versus DLC release still on track for Europe

Capcom has confirmed that the European release of Resident Evil 5’s Versus DLC is not in danger of slipping, despite being delayed in Japanese territories by a fortnight.

As reported yesterday, the DLC was pushed back in Japan from March 26 to April 9. However, despite the fact a European release date has yet to be announced, Capcom has assured gamers that its launch in PAL regions is still on track for ‘a few weeks after’ RE5’s release.

Speaking to CVG, a company rep stated: As we’ve never announced a date for the RE5 DLC in Europe beyond saying it’ll be a few weeks after release, it wouldn’t be accurate to say it’s delayed here. We are still on track for that window of ‘a few weeks after release’.”

"Versus allows up to four players to match wits in online battles across two very different game types. Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.”

Expect to pay £3.99 GBP for the Versus mode when it eventually turns up on the European PlayStation Store.
