Ready at Dawn lets go of 13 staff members

Developer Ready at Dawn has announced it has had to lay off approximately 13 members of staff as a result of an overlap between projects.

Posting on the company’s official website, an unsigned statement reads: "Most days we feel privileged to do what we do. Some days not so much. Today just plain sucks."

"We’ve spent the majority of our time at RAD hiring the best and most talented people to join our team. Today, we had to let go of 13 of these people because we simply couldn’t keep them on board while one project finishes and another ramps up. Unfortunately, these are the woes of being independent…
"It sucks. There are no other words for it."

The firm wished the former employees the best of luck, though neglected to issue any further updates on the situation. PSP owners should be familiar with Ready at Dawn, who have been responsible for developing a number of major titles for Sony’s slab, including Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus.
