Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 owners get early access

Sony and Rockstar Games have announced a partnership that provides Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 owners with early access to select online content.

Further details are being kept under wraps at present, though it’s clear that Red Dead Redemption 2 is benefiting from Rockstar’s illustrious history with the PlayStation brand. Not only that, but Red Dead Redemption will also be made available on PlayStation Now in the near future.

Hand crafted to take full advantage of PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience,” said Sony on the PlayStation Blog.

We are pleased to announce that PS4 players get first access to earn select online content in the vast open world of Red Dead Redemption 2. Check back on PlayStation.Blog for more details soon and for all of the latest information on Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer now available

Rockstar unveiled the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 earlier today, which Sony claimed was captured from a PS4. The footage offers a tantalizing glimpse at the Wild West sequel’s open-world, and features a voiceover by someone who sounds a lot like Dutch. We’re also treated to brief look at the seven riders featured in the Red Dead Redemption 2 artwork released earlier this week.

While an exact Red Dead Redemption 2 release date has yet to be pinned down, Rockstar has confirmed that the game will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One in fall 2017.
