The PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption has been patched with 60 FPS support by Rockstar Games, which will no doubt make a lot of people very happy. While we’re still waiting for that Red Dead Redemption 2 60 FPS patch, it’s good to finally be able to play the original game on PS5 in 4K 60 FPS via backwards compatibility.
As you can see from the screenshot below, a 60 FPS option is now available to access on the display option for Red Dead Redemption. At launch, the game ran at 4K resolution but didn’t go any higher than 30 FPS, and right now the PS5 version is the only one that runs at 4K 60 FPS.
As previously reported, Red Dead Redemption features FSR 2 on the PS4 that results in a better image quality compared to the Xbox Series X version.
