Remedy Entertainment issued a new update on the development of Control 2 during its latest financial report, revealing the game is progressing well to its next milestone.
Control 2 development is on track towards meeting its next milestones. The focus now is on the gameplay, environments, and missions. Work continues on developing the game into a strong commercial offering.

Back in May, Remedy boss Tero Virtala revealed that Control 2 is being made on a slightly smaller budget than Alan Wake 2, and the month before stated that Control 2 was again “tracking well toward its next milestone.” As previously reported, Control 2 entered full production back in February 2025.
Remedy announced last November that Control 2 will take the form of an action-RPG, although full details on the sequel haven’t been revealed at this early stage. The studio confirmed in August 2024 that it has partnered with Annapurna Interactive for Control 2, which will see the company provide 50% of the funds for the upcoming sequel. In exchange, Annapurna will receive film and TV rights to both Alan Wake and Control.
