Captures And Broadcasts News PS5 PS5 Trophy Clip Trophy Unlocks

Reminder: PS5 Saves 14-Second Clips When You Unlock A Trophy By Default, But To Save Space You Can Turn It Off

While the PS5 has been out for over four years now, there’s one thing that a lot of people tend to forget about Sony’s latest home console. By default, whenever you unlock a Trophy, the system saves a 14-second clip that is stored in a specific folder, which means your PS5 may have accumulated tons of unwanted clips that scoff up precious hard drive space. However, it’s worth remembering you can turn this feature off.

As noted by Reddit member ‘Wolfgang784,‘ you can switch this feature off by heading to Captures and Broadcasts > Captures > Auto-Captures > Trophies. Aside from turning it off completely, you can tweak it so your PS5 only saves clips for specific Trophy unlocks (for example, you can choose to only record your Platinum unlocks if you so desire).

It may not seem like a big deal, but you’d be surprised just how many clips your PS5 may have saved if haven’t given this much thought; these all add up, and if space is an issue, you could probably do with deleting them to free up your hard drive.
