Japanese magazine Famitsu has unleashed the first review of the Resident Evil 2 Remake, awarding a near perfect score of 37/40. The video game mag assigns games to four individual reviewers, who each award it a score out of 10. They then group together to the score to give it an overall rating out of 40.
The average Resident Evil 2 Remake review scores were: 9, 9, 10, 9. Unfortunately, we have no information about the content of the reviews.
You can play 30 minutes of the game right now with a demo live on the PlayStation Store. Check out the demo review to see how we got on.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is due to launch on January 25, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and Windows, so we’d expect reviews to be dropping soon. The game is a remake of the original 1998 PlayStation game and features numerous upgrades.
These include over-the-shoulder camera angles and graphics and performance upgrades. The latest screenshots also reveal the special agent HUNK and Tofu will be making a return. Tofu will have its own mode with Tofu Survivor, and they’ll also be a HUNK mini-game called “the 4th survivor”.
You can still play the demo again if the 30 minutes weren’t enough for you, and we have a full Resident Evil 2 Remake walkthrough right here.
