Capcom has announced in its updated list of Platinum Titles (that is, games which have sold over one million copies) that Resident Evil 2 Remake has moved 11.2 million units worldwide. This is up from the 10 million units the game had sold in July 2022.
This makes the game one of the best-selling Resident Evil titles released to date, although Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is still top dog with 11.7 million copies sold. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village has moved 7.4 million units.
Resident Evil 2 Remake was released for PS4, PC and Xbox One back in January 2019, and you can read our full review here.
The game is based on the original 1998 survival horror title released for PSOne, and follows Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they battle through a zombie-infested Raccoon City a few months after the events of the original game.
