Capcom News PS5 PSVR 2 Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition Is Reportedly Coming To PS5 In February 2024

Capcom will reportedly release Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition on February 9, 2024, according to listing spotted on Metacritic.

Nothing official has been announced by Capcom yet, but a Gold Edition isn’t really all that surprising considering Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil VII: Biohazard also received one. As such, expect Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition to feature the base game, all Mercenaries content, and Separate Ways.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was released for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S back in March 2023, and is a full remake of the 2005 horror classic directed by Shinji Mikami. The game takes place six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, and sees Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, dispatched to rural Europe to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter.

Capcom will release a free VR update for Resident Evil 4 Remake on December 8, which allows you to play through the whole campaign from a new perspective.

Meanwhile, the Japanese publisher announced during the PlayStation partner awards last week that it will continue remaking past Resident Evil games, although right now it isn’t saying which title is due an overhaul next.
