Capcom has released a new gameplay video for Resident Evil 4 to mark the classic survival horror title’s debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today, but our Resident Evil PS4 review is delayed right now until later this week.
This latest footage offers a gander at some of the earlier stages of the game, notably the area surrounding the village lake as Leon battles his way through legions of Los Ganados. There’s also a peak at Albert Wesker strutting his stuff in the Mercenaries mini-game.
Check it out below and stay tuned for our full Resident Evil 4 Remastered review.
Resident Evil 4 was originally released on the Nintendo GameCube back in January 2005, and later showed up on PS2 later that year. The game has since been ported to PC, Wii, mobile, PS3, and Xbox 360.
Critically acclaimed upon its release, the Shinji Mikami-directed horror title is credited for reinvigorating the Resi franchise in the mid-2000s, and influenced countless third-person action-adventure games.
Capcom is celebrating the Resident Evil 20th anniversary this year with a series of developer interviews, plus of course the announcement of Resident Evil 7 and PS4 ports of Resi 4, 5 and 6. Resident Evil 2 Remake is also in production, though we haven’t seen anything beyond a logo yet.
